Find Your A Team

Find Your A Team

Let's talk finding your A Team!

I always say that horse ownership has taught me more than any class or job. One of the skills I have had to build is building a team that will come together to support myself and my horse.

This includes veterinarians, farriers, chiropractors, and so forth.

I borrow a truck and trailer to bring my mare to a farrier every 6-8 weeks. It's more time intensive and expensive to do so. However, my farrier is really good at what he does. He's good with my horse. I trust him. My horse trusts him. He goes the extra mile.

I am a firm believer that you need to do what it takes to find your A team and keep them.

You cannot do everything alone.

You need people who will tell you when you're wrong.

You need people who know more than do and challenge you. (In a good way.)

Find good people. Treat them well. You'll be happier, and so will your horse.
